For my next project (you know, after Wild Wild Atlantic) I'm thinking about working on

a comic idea I came up while I was in Japan...

and this sketch would be considered concept art

Whale Meet Again

Surprisingly it's harder than you think to make up whale puns...

anyhow, the the Art Sale kinda rocked, thanks to everyone who bought stuff or kept me from drying of boredom during the slow periods.

And now, for the art update, more whale comic progress:

the work is going a bit slower than planned... the book will be about 30 pages of story when completed.

plus I need to bind it, which will be

... fun

right,

Happy Art Sale Day!

okay so I'm not actually that hairy, but there's a back story here.

I was talking to my friend Adil, possibly about beauty standards, and then I said "Well I don't know about you, but I'm a Yeti underneath my clothes"

and so now we have this running joke were I draw my body with excessive amounts of hair

and oddly enough that was the first thing I thought of when i sat down to do a speedy photoshop doodle this morning.

For some reason.. when I upload this image it... well not exactly inverts the colors... but does a major hue shift:

I wonder if it's because the color was originally in cmyk? is that a possibility?

I mean it looks cool like this... but  it's not really ideal

anyhow, this is the imagery for my promotional post cards that I'm giving out at the Art Sale

where I will be selling pirnts of Swamp Beast, Wolfman, Greek Tragedy, and assuming they turned out ok, posters of my Monster Alphabet (and also the originals will be for sale)

plus I'll have some comics for sale... and maybe, just maybe some smallish paintings.

MacLean Center Ballroom, 112 S. Michigan Ave., Chicago, IL

Friday April 17th: 11am to 7pm

Saturday April 18th: 10am to 5pm

admission is free to the public, and there's something for everyone

(unless everyone hates art... then they can stay home)

In the mean time I'll attempt to correct this colorshift issue
